Architecture Student
Born in Brazil, Amanda Galvao started studying Architecture at the PUC-Pr, Curitiba, where she also had one year of work experience at two architecture and interior design studios. In 2012, after winning a scholarship to restart the Architecture course at the University of Ferrara, she moved to Italy. Currently she is enrolled in an exchange program at the Technische Universität München studying Adaptive Buildings and Active Facades as part of her Master’s final thesis research, in which she hopes to design a highly efficient Convention Center able to repurpose our relation with workspaces in response to contemporary wills and demands. As an optimist, she believes that new technologies and forms of communication are indeed reinforcing our society’s sense of community, and so should our buildings.
