LaCoccinella

LaCoccinella is a competition entry for a daytime nursery, beautifully located near the lake in St. Moritz, Switzerland. The softly shaped timber construction is optimizing volume to surface ratio, but also creating an identity generating architecture for the children, slightly recalling the shape of a ladybug. A rotating mirror is following the sun and keeping a protecting hand the round sand box for the very small children.
